I grew up loving animals, I was always fascinated with nature and creatures different than my own. I was born in the small town in Poland, located near Mazurian Lakes, covered with forrest. Wildlife was present every day of my childhood and growing up that love for nature and animals grew with me.
This who know me realize how sensitive I am, I would never kill any creature, not even a spider. It drives my husband crazy, but this is who I am. I respect life in any form. Like many of you, I always dream what would I do if I won a lottery. My dream has always been to created the largest animal shelter in the area, where especially abused pets would find safe home.
I happen to live in Florida, next to preservation and wild animals are present every day outside my yard. City development invaded their home, forrest and places they use to feel safe at. Many wild creatures get injured crossing the streets or as result of human cruelty and stupidity. It breaks my heart seeing them killed on the side of the road.
That is why when I heard about Back To Nature Wildlife Refuge near my community in Orlando I quickly got involved. As HOA President we organized fund raising event last year. I met Debbie Helsel, Managing Director of the non-profit Back To Nature, who spent over 30 years caring for injured wild animals and created not only rehab and release facility, but also a sanctuary for those animals considered unreleasable due to their injuries. Debbie's life purpose is to help those who have no voice and preserve wild species in any way she can. People from Orlando area bring hundreds of injured animals and Debbie, her staff and volunteers make every effort to cure them and release back to their natural habitat. The place is always busy and the facility operates thanks to local donations from businesses and just ordinary people.
When I created Tierra Botanica with the goal to share healthy and sustainable living for everyone I immediately thought that if I benefit financially from this business, I want Back To Nature be a beneficiary of my partial profits. It is simply because I love what this organization does every day, saving so many lives of wild creatures.
I might not win lottery and having my animal shelter, but I certainly can help financially Debbie and her amazing organization. I also want my customers to feel like not only they are buying a great product, which helps them live in healthy balance, but also I want to share with them the amazing feeling of giving.
If you want to see how recent pandemic effected Back To Nature please watch the video below, which I personally made and edited for them so they can seek more help from good people.
Thank you for buying my products, because you also help save many wild animals.
With lots of love,
